At Pitre Consulting, we conduct business for our clients with dozens and dozens of product manufacturers, both domestically and offshore. In all cases, we leverage the buying power of our back office processor -- with our ongoing business relationships -- to source quality products from reliable manufacturers, at the lowest possible cost, based on client needs. Some cases call for buying "off-the-shelf" products, while other cases call for Pitre Consulting to source and manage the process of having the product completely assembled. Additionally, most manufacturers can also "decorate" (place client logo on) the item as well. However, sourcing some products, such as a jacket or t-shirt, require the use of a separate company to execute the decorating process. The end result being -- our customers receive a high quality promotional product -- sourced in the most cost-effective and seamless manner. This allows Pitre Consulting's clients to focus on their key business and marketing objectives.
Pictured here is an example of a product (2 Bottle, Leather & Canvas, Wine Tote Bag) that Pitre Consulting sourced to have manufactured for a client by a factory domestically.
Do I have to have my company's logo placed on my items?
No, we sell "blank goods" at wholesale price points. Call us for details.
What do I need to do to get Pitre Consulting started on a customized promotional item for my company?
Call us -- and, additionally, we will need to receive your logo in the form of a Vector Graphics Art File.
This file form allows your logo to be made smaller or larger without the loss of viewing quality. However, if you do not have your logo in a “Vectorized Art File” format, for a relatively small fee, Pitre Consulting can have our graphic artist perform this task for your business. Then, going forward, you will have this file for your use with any vendor, including Pitre Consulting.
Can you give a little more detail regarding a Vector Graphics File?
Vector art is created using vector illustration software programs, such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, for example. These programs use mathematic equations and geometric points, lines, and shapes to create art that is clean, camera ready, and can be scaled infinitely, without any loss of quality or fidelity. It is this scalability which is the primary reason that Vector art files are so valuable to printers. The same art file can be used to reproduce your design on something as small as a business card, or something as large as a billboard, again, without any loss of quality.
How can I tell if my art is Vectorized?
The four most common Vector file extensions are .ai, .pdf, .eps and .svg. However, just because a file is saved in one of these formats, does not mean that it is truly vector art. Sometimes, people open raster files in Adobe Illustrator, and re-save the file in a vector format, without recreating the art using the vector editing tools. Therefore, only art originally created in a vector editing program, such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, is truly vector art.
What if I'm still not sure about the current file format of my logo?
You can always have Pitre Consulting examine your file and tell you if it is vectorized, or not, free of charge.
